Bonny Rai is a new addition to the Newcastle music scene, hailing from the Central West of NSW. Raised by musician parents on a diet of folk and country music, she has developed a unique style underpinned by the simplicity of vocals and an acoustic guitar. In between writing and cultivating her own sound, Bonny thrives on performing and putting her spin on popular songs.
Bonny’s diverse repertoire includes an array of genres, ranging from Vance Joy and Flume to Johnny Cash and Creedence Clearwater Revival. With over seven years’ of performing in a variety of venues, as well as private functions and community events, Bonny has developed the ability to attune her performance to her audience, across all ages and musical tastes.
